TULIP PORT

More and more cancer patients get chemoport implants rather than get injections repeatedly on peripheral blood vessels, as cancer drugs sometimes damage the small vessels and the surrounding tissue. A chemoport is the most reliable and convenient method of central venous access. MEDITULIP developed TULIP PORT, a chemoport to maximize patient comfort and safety by making the housing thin and small and the septum wide yet pressure-resistant. TULIP PORT is power-injectable and supports X-ray, CT and MRI examinations. Moreover, MEDITULIP uses more expensive, implantable-grade polysulfone material. MEDITULIP received regulatory approval in South Korea and is preparing for regulatory approval of its chemoports in other countries.

  • Large Septum
Easy to locate septum due to large size (Standard 12.8mm, Mini 10.0mm) and the palpable edge of the port housing
  • Low Profile
Small thickness (Standard 11.2mm, Mini 9.2mm) for improved cosmesis and easier insertion
  • Power Port (Dual Sealing)
Patented Dual Sealing structures between the septum and the housing, keeping the port secure during power injection (maximum pressures 350psi for Standard Port and 300psi Mini Port)
  • Dissecting Blade Design
Heart shaped housing with dissecting blade facilitates the insertion while minimizing the skin flap dissection
  • MRI/CT Friendliness
Minimum use of metal, titanium plate at the base of the chamber, minimizes CT or X-ray diffractions and heating during MRI scanning
  • Implantable Grade Polysulfone
MEDITULIP puts patient safety above all and uses implantable grade polysulfone of highest purity, instead of lower cost medical grade material
  • Catheter
The port size(Standard, ,Mini)and the material of the catheter(Silicone, Polyurethane)is selectable 8.5Fr, 7Fr, 5.5Fr catheters are available for mini port
  • CT Marking
Easily and reliably identify X-ray images with CT Mark during post-op F/U
